Welcome
We hope that you will find our congregation to be a fellowship of loving, caring Christians seeking to live out the Good News of Jesus Christ and to serve as a spiritual center for our community. We gather in a welcoming atmosphere each Sunday morning during a single service to worship and be inspired by the Word of God through music, prayer and preaching based on Scripture. Lay people and youth have an active part in the worship service. We have a number of young families and have a strong Sunday School and Youth program. We are a diverse church community in that we have people from many nationalities and church backgrounds.

History
The Presbyterian Church of Pleasantville New York was organized by thirteen men and women on January 18, 1880. Services were held for a time in Sunset Hall, over John Thorn's livery stable on Wheeler Avenue. The Cornerstone of our church was laid on November 2, 1880 on property that was part of a farm owned by D.D. Earle. The building was first used for public worship on July 17, 1881. The Church has been rebuilt and enlarged three times. In 1923, the orientation of the sanctuary went from the eastern side of the building to the present day southern side. We especially hope that you love our stained glass window as much as we do. Be sure to notice how beautiful it looks from the inside!
